Egg Face Mask

So Pinterest said to break an egg and seperate it. Then, use a warm wash cloth to open the pores on your face. After that, spread white egg yolk all over it and wait for it to dry. Using a damp cloth, rub the white stuff off of your face and spread yellow yolk all over. Then wash it off. Well, here it is.

I used a bowl, a washcloth, and...

an egg!

Then I seperated the egg whites from the yolk

And put the white in a bowl but you can't really see it.

Anyways, I dampened my face...

And spread the goo on.

Then I waited for it to dry and it was sorta hard to wipe off.

So I gave up and put yolk on my face. It felt kind of gross. Although it looks like I'm licking it off my face, I assure you I am not.

Duck face! On the bright side, I received some nice lip gloss for Christmas.

And it's a good thing I have face wash! Even though it's the same color as the goo on my face.

I think I'm going to stick to the coconut oil and sugar. Coconut oil is seriously the best thing that happened to me this year. You can do anything with it. I recommend you get some!
But I don't recommend you do this egg mask thing.
It's kinda gross.

Did I even nail it?
I don't know.
I guess so.

Ziploc Bag Nail Decals

What Pinterest Showed Me

compared to...

What I did

First of all, I didn't use a water marble design, though I'm sure it would yield the same results.

All you really need is some nail polish, a toothpick...

And a plastic bag/wax paper/cellophane.
Tape is your friend too. You might want to tape the bag/paper/cellophane onto the table.

I ended up using almost completely different colors than what I had taken a picture of. Then I started to paint the bag.

....

Then you can get creative and make whatever design you want. This is where I would assume water marbling would come into play.

Then I questioned my existence.

Finally, I gave up and went to bed.

The next morning, the polish was dry. You're supposed to use tweezers to peel off the polish. However, I could not find a pair. Therefore, I used cuticle cutters.

Ta-Dah!

I used scissors to cut out a small square big enough to fit on my nail

I covered my thumb nail....

....and tried to peel off the excess with the cuticle cutters and my finger. As you can see, I took a pretty big chunk off my nail.

Then I remembered that you're supposed to apply a base coat first.

Boo!

So this time, I applied a base coat, pressed the decal onto my nail, and cut around it. DON'T FORGET TO ADD A TOPCOAT! And it looked like this. The design would have probably looked better if I would have just directly applied it to my nails. Oh well, I guess I need to practice at it.

I might try this again. The dried polish sheet was fun to play with anyway :)

DIY: Sugar Scrub

What Pinterest Showed Me
Organic Sugar Scrub Tips ♥ * Always exfoliate before shaving to prevent irritation and achieve a better shave. * You may add more olive oil to your jar after packing if you desire a different consistency. * Oil will settle in the jar so stir before using. * I do not recommend using this scrub on your face. It is intended for use on the body only
Delicious Scrub Recipe * 1 cup organic cane sugar * 1/3 cup celtic sea salt * 1/2 cup organic coconut oil * 2-3 tablespoons almond oil * 1 tablespoon vitamin e * Lavender Essential Oil *

                       What I Did:

(Note: I basically disregarded everything Pinterest told me, because I can never get it right when I try doing what it tells me.)

Okay so this is what I did. It's really simple. I promise (:

Ingredients: Some good 'ole Pure Cane Sugar and Coconut Oil (That'd be the white stuff in the mason jar)

Place 1/2 tablespoon of Coconut Oil in a microwave safe bowl. Trust me when I say you do not need a whole cup like Pinterest tells you to use.

I'm sure you saw this coming. Microwave the oil for about 10 seconds to soften it up a bit.

Eh, it's sorta melted. Good enough!

Now it's time to add 1 tablespoon of sugar!
(Note: If you plan to use a lot of this scrub for large areas of the body, remember for whatever amount of oil you use, you want to double the amount of sugar)

I did exactly what it told me not to do. I put it on my face.
I couldn't stop eating it either. It tastes so good!

I rubbed the scrub on my face for the same amount of time that I would wash my face for which is about a minute or so. Then I rinsed.

At this point, I was getting kind of worried. Those are water droplets on my face. My face felt really oily.

Once I rinsed a little bit more, and wiped my face off, my skin was a little red. Which, of course, this is expected since I was just rubbing rough sugar granules on my face.
I also had more than enough sugar scrub.

My face ended up feeling super soft.
Now I know what a baby's butt feels like.

I can't wait to try this on my legs before I shave. My face feels seriously great.
I guess I'll find out in a few days if I break out from the scrub.

For the first time since I started this blog, I...
